Driver CPC The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence is a European wide mandatory HGV driver requirement. The training programme is designed to address a number of key issues that address, road safety, load safety, mechanical understanding, vehicle performance, personal health issues and the rules and regulations pertaining to the position. The training is designed to support the Driver in carrying out their duties. The benefits to the driver are many. The main one is that the driver can keep abreast of legislative changes. The driver also has a point of reference to gain unambiguous information relating to the position. Another important benefit is that the driver can now get to understand all of the aspects of the road transport industry. They get to meet other drivers who may work in a completely different sector of the industry. All of the acquired knowledge leads to a safer a more efficient road transport system.

Venue The ISM operate from their training centre in Finglas Dublin, Cork and Limerick. The training rooms are very comfortable with free tea/coffee and parking. You can book on line or by phone. The place is clean and well managed. Hot food is available from a small café and a Centra shop located near by.

Trainers The ISM trainers are a mix of experienced drivers, ADI instructors and health & safety trainers. All training is done using white boards and video screens. The rooms are bright and clean. all training materials are supplied.

CPC.ie
|
CPC.ie is by far the biggest provider of driver CPC courses in the country. This organisation operates from Hotels all over Ireland. The hotels themselves provide free parking and tea/coffee in the morning. Most venues will have hot food available.

Trainers are a mix of professional driver, transport CPC holders, health & safety trainers and ADI instructors. All use video projectors and flip charts. Booking on line or by phone.

Hynes Driving School

FTA Ireland
|
The Freight Transport Association run courses in Dublin, Portlaoise and Limerick. The Dublin Training venue is in their training centre and venues outside Dublin are in Hotels. All venues provide parking and tea/coffee on arrival.

The Swilly Group provide driver CPC training in Monaghan, Letterkenny, Carrick -on -Shannon and Dublin. The letterkenny venue is the Groups training centre and the other venues are Hotels. All venues provide parking and tea/coffee on arrival,
